3D Parts Configurator
Designed a complex web configurator interface for custom manufacturing. Industrial Luxury style (dark mode, utilitarian typography, high contrast). Solved the Collision State using inline alerts and model highlighting without intrusive pop-up modals.
The problem
The legacy configurator had a high abandonment rate because users couldn't easily resolve 3D part collisions and model errors.
What I designed
Designed a non-intrusive 'Industrial Luxury' interface with inline spatial alerts and direct model highlighting, completely removing blocking pop-up modals.
The outcome
Reduced configuration errors by 45% and increased successful checkout completions by 12% for high-ticket manufacturing orders.
